Cottrell Park Golf Resort

The historic parkland of Cottrell Park is set in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan and is an idyllic setting for a golfing venue. Cottrell is very conveniently located, being only a few miles from Cardiff and its International Airport. The beautiful parkland covers over 400 acres and offers breathtaking views sweeping northwards as far as the Brecon Beacons and southwards over the Bristol Channel to the Mendips. The golfing facilities include two magnificent Championship Golf Courses, the Mackintosh and the Button Gwinnett, two brand new surround golf simulators (a first of their kind in the UK, with over 100 courses to choose from including the 2010 Ryder Cup course at Celtic Manor), 10 bay undercover driving range, two putting greens and an on course golf practice area. Other brand new activities include Segway tours, snooker and pool room, fishing lake and nature trail for walking, jogging and cycling. All of which make for a super day out for all the family. The Clubhouse, with its exposed beams and flagstones, has a rustic but cosy feel to it. The friendly and comfortable atmosphere helps you to relax after a hard day's work or play and there is an extensive bar menu available throughout the day. The Clubhouse also boasts free WiFi access and several rooms that can be set-up in a wide variety of styles, for conferences and meetings. The resort also boasts a new Snooker and Pool room, free to use by members as part of their subscription, visitors are welcome to book the tables for £5.00 for the first hour followed by £2.50 per continuation hour. Alternatively a 30 minute slot can be reserved for £3.50.
